About me
========


Hi, I am Adriaan, a Delft trained Quantum Engineer and Co-Founder of `Orange Quantum Systems <http://orangeqs.com>`_, an OEM that provides test equipment for quantum computing chips.

During my PhD (Cum laude), I have worked on control for superconducting quantum systems [1]_ in the group of Prof. Leo DiCarlo at `QuTech <http://qutech.nl>`_.
Besides my `scientific work </about/#publications>`_, I made key contributions to the development of the Quantum Infinity, a full-stack quantum computer in the cloud.
Before starting my PhD, I was on the executive board of `De Kleine Consultant <http://dekleineconsultant.nl>`_, a student-run non-profit business consultancy where I was responsible for internal affairs.


In my free time, I enjoy sailing, windsurfing, tinkering with software projects, and writing with some over-priced coffee.

Kunstenaars Rol
---------------

I maintain the website of the `Stichting Kunstenaars Rol <https://www.kunstenaarsrol.nl>`_. The website is a tribute to three generations of artists: my uncle `Hanno <https://www.kunstenaarsrol.nl/kunstenaars/hanno/>`_, my grandfather `Henricus <https://www.kunstenaarsrol.nl/kunstenaars/henricus/>`_ and my great-grandfather `Cornelis <https://www.kunstenaarsrol.nl/kunstenaars/cornelis/>`_.
